WORKING EXPERIENCES
Conducted Aida, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Nabucco, il Flauto Magico, Carmen, Rigoletto, Macbeth, Trovatore, La Forza del Destino and Tosca on a French tour.
Conducted symphony opera concerts, highly praised in Paris, Grenoble, Biarritz, Bordeaux, Carcassonne, Nantes, Sete as a tribute for Maria Callas.
Conducted Traviata at “Apollo Theatre” in Barcelona and about 300 operas and symphony concerts in Italy and abroad.
Since 2008 Paolo Savio has conducted many Italian orchestras studying, interpreting, arranging and conducting earlier classical soundtracks. Focus of his musical activity is the transcription and transformation of soundtracks into concert pieces, and the proposal of unreleased tracks performed with images.
In 2007 he founded the Octet “At the Movies” performing all over Italy unpublished scores of 1900s and soundtracks.
As a copyst he annoted six hands piano scores performed in Athens, Florence, Milan, Verona with the group “SIX hANDs THE CITY”.
He conducted “Rossini Orchestra” in Pesaro in many occasions, and for the soundtrack’s realization of the film “The Beginner” directing by P. Ferrandini in competition at the Venice Festival (2012).
He edited, recovered and played the entire production for harp and piano; a wide repertoire of chamber music (Lieder and Chansons) presenting Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, Faurè, Chausson, Ravel, Debussy, Duparc’s prèmiere tracks in Verona, Asti, Cremona, Milan.
In 2015 and 2016 he conducted with soprano Teresa Castal his two compositions “Las Palabras de Teresa” and “Salomè et Iokanaan” with a great success of public and critics.
He played and conducted more than 50 of his compositions, edited by Pizzicato, Rugginenti, Suvini Zerboni and Accademia Edizioni Musicali. Worthy to mention are Capriccio Notturno, Rhapsody Sonata, A Simple Tale, Reflection, Suite per immagini, Stabat Mater for violin and piano and for piano and orchestra deforme at Scala in Milan, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Sala Maffeiana, Teatro del Sale in Florence and Brescia.
He gives lecturers on music and communication for the Master Degree in Marketing and Communication at the University of Verona.
In 2019 he joined “Audio Classica” as a sound engineer (assistant) at the ROF in Pesaro.
He will debut his Requiem per soli, coro (choir) and orchestra composed in 2022 and he will edit the new monodramma “Salomè et iokanaan”, presented and performed in Verona, in November 2021.
